Totally agree crusto-but lets not hear the board say they are blues fans, they are not and never will be.Their buzz is to make a profit, not to win trophies. They have insulted my intelligence with their comments and I will not set foot back in the blues until they have gone along with 5 others.Even though it might hurt us to do so.I am voting with my feet as I not prepared to line these £billionares pockets any longer. Finally one bloke on here asked "yeah but who would you want in if they do go?" Answer to that is,I dont care as long as they come on and tell it like it is even if they have no cash to spend,I would sooner have someone like delia smith who even sits in with the norwich fans-could you see sullivan doing that? I dont think so. Why shouldnt we expect our board not to spend their own cash? Villa fans do with ellis, spurs fans do with levy, newcastle fans do with shephard. What are they doing there if they are not prepared to spend? |

Coma come on we have listened to you week in week out for months banging on about how bad this board are and how they are ripping us off. Various people on here have asked you to come up with alternatives. Various people have asked you questions and you have ignored them every time ?? Lets get something straight here and now without DS,DG,RG there would be no BCFC despite what you say that fact is undeniable. the club would have gone into liquidation without them. So who else is there ?? This is where you may want to consult with a vile fan because they think getting rid of Ellis is the answer. thats a great idea in principle but who is going to buy the club and run it the way you / they want them to. Jasper Carrott maybe?? One of vthe UB40 guys?? Jeff lynne?? the guy that owns the scaffolding company that was in the running last time but backed out when he saw the true state of the club. In truth the only people who put their money where their mouths are were the present Board..... Yes they may spin the truth a little and yes they may not spend the money you demand they spend out of their own pockets. but thats up to them its their money. We have not won anything in a 130 years so far. but at least we are now going in the right direction towards success now. Your not going down this coming season...............oh well your loss. |

I think if you read the post right tom oh sorry willie,I dont care who runs the club as long as they tell the truth and not some washed up story all the time just to sell season tickets. How much longer do we have to be 'eternally grateful' willie? Maybe ask the board to consult with a 'vile' fan after all we now have one on the board! As for my loss? Was I at a real loss that I didnt go to Northampton last night? Because through another lack of ambition in the transfer market it will be one long struggle next season. Even you willie-the boards biggest fan,how do you explain that we are actually in profit as regards transfer fees this year? Yes some of us havent forgot the sale of Savage for £3.1million. |

I know the guy who owns Lyndon Scaffholding very very well. He is a proper Bluenose and a top bloke. Whilst being loaded, he aint got anywhere near the amount of dough our present owners have. Im probably reading between the lines a little but I reckon he probably pulled out cos he knew Sully was in for us as it would be more beneficial for the club in the long run. Ill ask him if I get chance... |

I am not a board lover by any means. but i do live in the real world, not one consumed by jealousy. You did'nt go to Northampton. neither did i. the display according to reports was way below par. but is that the boards fault or the managers ?? Bruce makes a point of ensuring every close that he gives tha board a "list of wanted players" and last seaon he got every one on that "LIST" yet you can count on one hand the times we played well. Look at the team for the Northampton game. look at where players were asked to play? and then ask who picked them ? I posted the other day that we had brought in approx £6.8m and spent approx £6.8. so in terms of this season's budget we have spent nothing. I agree with you about being mislead by the club. i said as much in another post. i think the claim about a £10m player was a prime example. but i have learned over the years to look beyond the Bullsh*t. |

I am not knocking the guy Crusto. just highlighting that when it came to it the only people prepared to take on the clubs debts and attempt to turn the club around were the present board. |

i agree sb said he wanted quality rather than quantity but last season we were in trouble with the injuries that we collected and if u think about it the squad is slightly smaller this season, weve gone in for players with stupid bids knowing that we wont get them but it keeps us lot buying season tickets doh it.just hope sb n the board have summit up there sleeve but i think its getting a bit to close for any new signings to start gelling.maybe the january transfer window is waiting for a big name to come up as its been really hard for anyone to sign anyone this close season as there are 6 ish clubs all going after the same player. |

our squad is no smaller than the majority of other prem squads. I know it may sound like an excuse but we are very lucky with injuries. Two of our best players (Dunn and Forssell) were out for most of the season. How would Arsenal have done without Henry and Vieira last season. If we are luckier with injuries this year our squad is a good size. |

Geeez, did i miss this one. Bloody pubs! I always take what comes out at season ticket time with a pinch of salt. But you can't help get excited by Sullivans comments. We as fans want the best for the club, and with that in mind hope and prey that the club will be active and improve the team. But what did we do? Enquire about Parker, offer more for Bellamy after he'd signed (Hmmm Deja vous - i'm sure or was that Akinbiyi ???). Under bid for Basinas. Show interest in Bowyer again and again, when clearly he was a cheap option. Now if you'd have identified the needs at the end of the season, what positions needed strengthening or quality signings? Forward, Central Midfield, Right wing and central defender. Now I'd exclude rightwing with Pennant, as he was onloan and talks about permanent transfer im sure were completed before end of season and afterall we filled that role with Gronks last summer. So really its like a swap. But as stated thats an initial small fee then rising. We signed Forssell which is great, but haven't we been trying to do that for the last two years? We added Nafti. We may sign Pandiani. Yet since Jan, Gronks has gone. Savage has gone. Carter has gone. Blake has come and gone. So Pennant is Gronks cheaper replacement. Nafti is Savages cheaper replacement. Forssell is Blakes more expensive replacement (quite funny as Blake was Forssells replacement). So with my reconing all we've done is replaced, body for body. Yes you can argue better quality, but actually the fee recouped and spent equal themselves out, maybe even favouring the money recouped. So whats happening with this summers money, i hear you ask? Hmmm  I don't know. I think my hangovers just kicked in. This money (as we've been led to believe), should be spent on a quality Midfielder (not defensive), central defender and possibly another striker. But haven't we been trying to address two of these positions for the last couple of years. If we really have ambitions of Europe, adding these players WILL push us on, competing against the likes of Spurs, Boro, Geordies. If not then the board, or mainly Sullivan's been blowing hot air at a time when season ticket applications are due. Theres players out there, theres players that have moved, who we could have gone for. Nows the time when we should be finalising our squad. So lets see what happens and keep your fingers crossed. If i lost my wasy, sorry. I've been trying to type this at work, and the interuptions and hangover not going down well. :ph43r: |

Spot on with what you say booke.Any blues fan worth his salt must now be asking the question if he/she has any sense, just where is the cash going???????? As regards willies comments, for displays like northampton and I fear there will be many more this coming season,I do blame the board because yet again we are scraping around for cheapie buys but I also blame steve bruce for buying the players,if it was me I wouldnt have gone near some of his signings, but dare I suggest thats what happens when you sign a 5 year deal worth £30,000 a week..............dancing to the tune springs to mind. Willie-also do you really think that SB got all the players he really wanted on THAT LIST? So if you where in SB shoes and apparently you have cash to spend you would realistically had yorke and anderton, bearing in mind there are 1,000's of players out there? Answer is simple-No,he had to go and get them because it was a body,a cheap one at that and that stems from a total lack of ambition. |

Sometimes I realy do not belive what I read on here. How can we after the Kumars ect, criticise this board for what has been achived since thier arrival. Untill they came we were going nowhere, are we all forgetting what it was like in Div 2. Give this board the credit it deserves, belive in them we have not been let down yet, have we? This club of ours BCFC is on its way, but it will take a little time yet. |

because you've got negative elements throughout the fan base, who seem to know more about footy than sb, and more about running businesses than the golds or ds....yet they aint evn season ticket holders!!!!!!!!!!! |

hahahahaha so now because you havent renewed your season ticket, according to proccy you shouldnt have a say? I've not renewed out of principle. So SB knows everything about football does he? Thats why morisson was signed for £4million is it? To go with anderton, yorke. |

We KNOW they've got money for players. We KNOW Appiah stalled on his Fenerbache deal to come here, we KNOW they didn't make the bid. Past work doesn't mean anything, if they're not consistent with these signings when they can be made, they'll get told about it. Everyone at our club respected our board. No other club had respect like that, until we got lied to, we thought we'd get Parker and Forssell, probably Bridge and Woodgate. Like Ellis, the club themselves were talking about making these signings, it didn't come from the supporters. If the board talked to us through the Evening Mail, about things we sometimes don't see behind scenes (like when Bruce wanted Hasselbaink to back up Forssell, but couldn't afford him), then we know, and it's okay with us. Appiah signed for Fenerbache weeks ago, Bruce hasn't said he wanted 80k, wouldn't sign for us etc. |

I think only one post has even touched on the fact that much as we think we are the bees knees and would be prouder of playing for Birmingham than England, or which ever national team, not everyone thinks that way. It makes me very angry but we are still seen as a deeply unfashionable club/ city/ part of the country. I wouldn't be surprised to hear that we would have gone after several players but they didn't want to come to us. It will only change gradually. The longer we stay up and do not have relagation battles, the more seriously we will be taken. |

which is why i worry about there being no brummies in our team, something which i find amazing...there must be some awesome young players in the Birmigham Leagues, forget the youth set up... it takes nothing to take young lads and give them a trial at the Club. |
